Operations & Business Development Manager – Salad Stories

Role Overview

Salad Stories is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented Operations & Business Development Manager to lead the growth, and day-to-day execution of our subscription-based healthy Salad business. The candidate should be passionate about healthy food, customer experience, and building scalable systems that transform Salad Stories into a leading subscription-based healthy meal brand.

This role is responsible for transforming start up business concepts into scalable operational systems while driving customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in meal subscription services, healthy food brands, cloud kitchens, catering, or similar food-service businesses. They will combine operational excellence with commercial acumen to build and grow a sustainable, customer-centric brand.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Translate business ideas and strategic initiatives into efficient operational processes.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) across food production, packaging, quality control, and delivery.
  • Oversee daily operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and fulfilment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and operational best practices.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Support menu planning, pricing strategies, and product innovation for salads
  • Collaborate with culinary and procurement teams to optimize product quality, consistency, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive subscriber growth through customer acquisition, retention, and referral initiatives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to support expansion.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and growth strategies.
  • Train and supervise kitchen, assembly, and operational staff.
  • Coordinate effectively with marketing, procurement, customer service, and delivery teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor key business metrics, including food costs, labor costs, wastage, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting operational results, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in meal plans, healthy food concepts, salad bars, cloud kitchens, catering, food delivery, or subscription-based food businesses.
  • Demonstrated success managing food production, operational processes, and delivery logistics.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching and scaling a food brand from concept to market.
  • Knowledge of UAE food safety regulations, licensing requirements, and operational compliance.
  • Experience developing customer acquisition, retention, and subscription growth programs.
  • Familiarity with food delivery platforms and subscription management tools.
