Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Manager to lead and optimize our operations. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity
- Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management to meet business goals
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate purchasing activities and maintain optimal stock levels through effective inventory control and management
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to boost store traffic and sales performance
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining professional phone etiquette
- Supervise shift management, cashiering operations, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and overall store safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with a strong background in team leadership and operational oversight
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development, and leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and inventory control
- Proficiency with POS systems, wireless sales platforms, merchandising tools, and basic bookkeeping software
- Experience in grocery or general retail stores is advantageous; familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus
- Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining high standards of customer service and phone etiquette
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience is preferred; experience managing budgets and marketing initiatives is beneficial
