Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Manager to lead and optimize daily business operations across our retail locations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of store management, including sales, inventory control, customer service, team supervision, and operational efficiency. Duties

• Lead and supervise retail staff to ensure excellent customer service, effective sales strategies, and smooth daily operations.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, stock control, merchandising, and purchasing to maximize sales opportunities.
• Manage payroll, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering processes with accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and operational knowledge.
• Implement and monitor store policies related to pricing, merchandising standards, and promotional activities to boost sales performance.
• Coordinate recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel aligned with store needs.
• Oversee budgeting, sales management, marketing initiatives, and operational procedures to meet financial targets.
• Supervise shift management ensuring proper staffing levels, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient workflow.
• Maintain excellent communication with staff and upper management to ensure alignment on goals and policies.
• Use organizational skills to streamline processes such as bookkeeping, inventory control, and store maintenance for optimal efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and store operations.
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting strategies.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Extensive experience with retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and cash handling.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in retail settings with a focus on team management and training & development.
• Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management tools, merchandising standards, and store safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with organizational prowess for multitasking in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing and bookkeeping accurately.
