Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Catering & Event Management to oversee and manage end-to-end catering operations and event execution. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth planning, coordination, and delivery of events while maintaining high standards of food quality, service excellence, cost control, and client satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Event Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and manage corporate, social, and large-scale events from concept to completion
- Oversee catering operations, including food preparation, logistics, service flow, and post-event breakdown
- Ensure all events are delivered on time, within budget, and as per client expectations
Team Management
- Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff, service staff, supervisors, and event coordinators
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for all events
- Maintain discipline, performance standards, and staff productivity
Vendor & Inventory Management
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and rental partners
- Manage inventory of food, beverages, equipment, and décor items
- Negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement
Quality Control & Compliance
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards as per regulations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Conduct regular quality checks on food, service, and presentation
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during event execution
- Handle client feedback, resolve issues, and ensure high satisfaction levels
- Coordinate with sales, chefs, and management teams for seamless delivery
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare event budgets and monitor expenses
- Control food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses
- Analyze operational performance and implement improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Event Management (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in catering and event operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of menu planning, food costing, logistics, and large-scale event execution
- Strong communication and client-handling skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic event management software
