Operations Manager – FMCG

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations professional to manage end-to-end factory operations in an FMCG environment. The ideal candidate will oversee vendor management, production coordination, factory workflow, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory & Production Operations

• Oversee daily factory operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Coordinate production schedules, manpower allocation, and resource planning.
• Monitor production output, ensure quality standards, and meet daily/weekly targets.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

2. Vendor & Supply Chain Management

• Manage procurement and coordination with vendors for raw materials, packaging, and services.
• Negotiate rates, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery.
• Track inventory levels and ensure optimal stock for uninterrupted production.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate between production, quality, logistics, and sales teams to maintain workflow.
• Ensure timely dispatch of products and alignment with order schedules.
• Maintain clear documentation and operational reports for management.

4. Compliance & Process Management

• Ensure factory operations meet safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Implement SOPs to streamline production and operational processes.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Identify process gaps and propose improvements for efficiency and cost optimization.
• Use data and metrics to drive operational performance.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong coordination and multitasking skills.
• Good understanding of FMCG production processes and supply chain.
• Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills.
• Problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and operational tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification

• Postgraduate degree (mandatory) — Preferably in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Business Administration.

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in FMCG operations, factory management, or production coordination.
• Experience handling vendors, production teams, and daily factory operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
