Job Summary:
The Operations Manager – Shipping & Logistics (Freight Management) is responsible for overseeing end-to-end freight operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods across domestic and international routes. This role involves managing carriers, optimizing shipping processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a logistics team to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily freight operations including air, sea, and land transportation
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport vendors
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts to optimize cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, and documentation requirements
- Track shipments and resolve any delays, damages, or operational issues
- Implement and improve logistics processes, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Oversee warehouse coordination (if applicable) for smooth dispatch and receipt
- Lead, train, and supervise logistics and operations staff
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve service levels
- Manage budgets and control operational expenses
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of freight management (FCL, LCL, multimodal transport)
- Understanding of international shipping regulations and INCOTERMS
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in logistics software / ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, TMS, etc.)
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or freight management
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in international logistics and cross-border trade

Pay: ﷼12,000.00 - ﷼20,000.00 per month
