The Operations Manager provides the necessary leadership to manage all operational aspects of the hot line operation. This position is responsible for coordinating safety, quality, productivity, reliability and continuous improvement for the hot line value stream.
Key Accountabilities:
Reports directly to the Hot Line APU Manager
Coordinates activities to achieve daily, weekly and monthly operati
ng results for all production KPI’s
Ensures Operations Team’s participation in all EHS processes as they apply to day-today activities
Supports critical safety aspects including hourly employee safety performance & operation of equipment to standard practices for safe operation.
Supports key process and reliability functions through ownership of critical process input variables.
Ensures personal commitment to company policies, procedures, and regulations

Standard Operating Procedure development and execution
Daily, weekly & monthly standard & performance management routines

Coordinates daily, weekly, monthly with Process, Operations, Reliability, & Supply Chain support resources to execute planned and unplanned activities with minimum disruption to daily operations.

Requirements:
4 year technical degree and 5 years supervisory experience, or…
2 year technical degree and 8 years supervisory experience, or…
10 years industry supervisory experience with at least 5 years aluminum industry, specifically
Bachelor's degree, strongly preferred
Possesses skills related to Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma
Possesses strong leadership and communications skills
Ability to function in a union environment while driving for commitment over compliance
