Operations Manager manages staff and data for the Business Services & Clinical Support staff, including oversight of the Medical Records, Front Desk, Scheduling & Registration, and Telephone Receptionist functions and Clinical Support functions. Trains new and existing staff on procedures, both software and manual. Maintains and updates Business Services & Clinical procedure manual and training guidelines. Responsible for performing Human Resources duties, reviewing and approving payroll timecards for supervised staff and oversight of day to day operations. Reports to Administration regarding concerns or problems within the facility, and works to resolve them with their direction. Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned. Also follows Access Health Louisiana protocols and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in health care administration, public health, business administration, or related degree required.
Experience
Five (5) years of healthcare management experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Experience in healthcare management and/or administration required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong analytical skills.
Ability to maintain highest level of discretion and confidentiality in maintaining patient and employee confidentiality.
Ability to maintain courteous and customer oriented demeanor in a crisis situation and acts responsibly to resolve or defuse the situation.
