POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, is responsible for overseeing daily operational performance related to transportation and fleet operations. This role provides leadership and direction to drivers and mechanics to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service.
The Operations Manager supports operational planning, coordinates service execution, monitors performance metrics, and ensures compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards. This position works closely with the General Manager to drive operational efficiency, support fleet utilization and maintenance coordination, and ensure consistent service performance.
The Operations Manager plays a key role in maintaining a strong safety culture, supporting workforce development, and identifying opportunities to improve operational processes, productivity, and customer service across the Jacksonville operation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supervises operational employees, including drivers and mechanics, supporting the Jacksonville location. The Operations Manager is responsible for employee scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and assisting with hiring decisions in partnership with the General Manager and Human Resources.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position operates in both office and field environments. The role may require walking operational yards, inspecting vehicles or equipment, and interacting with employees in active work environments.
The work environment may include exposure to outdoor conditions, moving vehicles, noise, and odors typical of operational and fleet environments. Appropriate safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when entering operational areas.
