CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR - Operations Manager
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all day-to-day operations at CurioBoat centres and partner venues. This includes managing facilitators, scheduling, partner communication, resource allocation, logistics, and customer experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can balance structure with creativity in a fast-growing educational start-up environment. You’ll serve as the key link between operations, curriculum/partners, marketing & centres to ensure seamless execution and scale.
CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR - Operations Manager
Primary Responsibilities: 60-70% of your time
- Develop and oversee the Curio programme offering: e.g., STEM, LEGO, Multi-Sports rotations, age-group structuring, curriculum partner coordination.
- Manage and build relationships with partner venues (schools, preschools, community clubs) to host Curio classes; negotiate terms, ensure venue readiness, schedule management.
- Recruit, train and manage facilitators/coaches: ensure they meet CurioBoat’s standards for child-friendly delivery, safety, engagement, and curriculum fidelity.
- Establish and monitor operational processes: class scheduling, roll-out across neighbourhoods, facilitator allocations, backup planning, equipment & supplies management.
- Ensure safety, quality and child-friendly environment: verify venues are safe, facilitators are trained in child-centric class delivery, risk-mitigation and behavioural standards upheld.
- Monitor programme performance: track attendance, retention, feedback (from children, parents, partner venues), facilitate continuous improvement.
- Liaise with marketing/sales team to support enrolments for classes; provide inputs on programme differentiators, parent value-proposition, local neighbourhood launches.
- Support expansion into new neighbourhoods: assess venues, coordinate launch logistics, ensure facility readiness, staffing, and marketing support.
- Budgeting & cost-control: monitor cost of equipment, venue hire, facilitator payroll, optimize for profitability while ensuring quality.
- Reporting & insights: deliver regular reports on key metrics (enrolment numbers, retention, facilitator performance, partner feedback) and propose action plans to senior leadership.
Secondary Responsibilities: Teaching - 30-40% of your time
- Facilitate the Curio program and other programs from the Curio repository of programs.
- Work with the Marketing teams to help improve quality of leads
- Collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Improve existing curriculum and come up with new lesson plans
- Help with new center tie-ups - Interact with school administrators at times.
- Participate in teacher recruitment and training drives to select and mentor new teachers
- Collaborate with other teams/members of the company to fill in at times of emergency
- Help launch new products and new neighborhoods.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 0-1+ years of relevant experience in operations — preferably in education, sports, or children’s activity sectors.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on and proactive — willing to visit centres, meet partners, and ensure things run smoothly.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, scheduling tools, and basic reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (depending on class schedules).
- Proven track record of managing multiple venues/locations, facilitator teams, scheduling logistics and partner relationships.
- Excellent operational, organisational and time-management skills; ability to pivot and manage dynamic schedules.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable engaging with venue partners (schools, clubs), parents, facilitators and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality programmes, ensure safety and child-friendly environment, and drive growth.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite; comfort working with spreadsheets, basic budgeting, reporting; some familiarity with school/after-school programme software is a plus.
- Location flexibility: will require travel across Delhi/NCR neighbourhoods and partner sites.
