Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee and streamline the end-to-end production operations of our sports apparel manufacturing unit, with a strong focus on printing, CAD-based pattern development, and stitching.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A complete understanding of the apparel production process (from order intake to shipment).
- Strong expertise in sportswear / active-wear, knit fabrics, printing processes, and digital CAD pattern systems.
- Excellent spoken and written English to communicate with international clients.
- Proven ability to lead teams under critical work pressure while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities. Order Management
- Oversee the complete order life cycle from receipt to final delivery.
- Coordinate with sales, design, CAD, and production teams to ensure smooth and accurate order processing.
- Ensure all orders are properly documented, tracked, and updated, including customer specifications, size breakdowns, and delivery timelines.
2. Production Planning & Management (Printing, CAD & Stitching)
- Prepare and manage production schedules to meet deadlines while optimizing capacity and efficiency.
- Oversee printing and stitching operations for sports apparel (jerseys, kits, tracksuits, hoodies, etc.).
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards in printing (colors, alignment, clarity) and stitching (construction, seams, finishing).
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory to align with production and shipment plans.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in cutting, printing, stitching, or finishing processes.
3. CAD / Digital Pattern & Technical Workflow
- Supervise CAD pattern development using systems such as Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, Optitex, Tukatech or similar.
- Oversee pattern grading, marker making, and fabric consumption planning.
- Ensure accurate implementation of digital patterns into cutting and stitching processes.
- Work closely with design and pattern teams to maintain fit, sizing, and construction standards for sports and activewear.
4. Fabric & Stock Management
- Manage fabric and material stocks, especially knit fabrics used in sports apparel.
- Maintain accurate records of fabric usage, rolls, and batches to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories for upcoming orders.
5. Printing Process Management
- Oversee sublimation, screen printing, HTV, DTG, and other sportswear printing processes.
- Ensure correct color profiles, print positioning, and panel alignment for all garments.
- Work with design/CAD teams to ensure print files and patterns are properly synchronized.
- Troubleshoot printing issues and implement corrective measures quickly.
6. Shipment & Logistics
- Coordinate with the logistics/dispatch team to ensure timely shipment of finished goods.
- Monitor shipment schedules in line with buyer delivery dates and production output.
- Ensure all packing lists, invoices, and shipping documentation are accurate and complete.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation for orders, production, fabric usage, and shipments.
- Prepare regular reports on:
- Production output
- Fabric and trims stock levels
- Order status and delivery timelines
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and other tools to manage and share production and inventory data with management.
8. Quality Assurance
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet export-quality standards for sports and activewear.
- Implement and monitor inline and final inspections.
- Address any customer complaints, quality issues, or product defects promptly and put in place corrective action plans.
9. Team Management & Communication
- Lead, mentor, and manage production staff across cutting, printing, stitching, and finishing lines.
- Foster a culture of discipline, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, logistics, CAD, and design teams to ensure a smooth operational flow.
- Handle critical workloads, rush orders, and pressure situations while keeping the team aligned.
Core Competencies (Must-Have)
- Strong Understanding of CAD Software– Gerber / Lectra / Optitex / Tukatech or similar.
- Deep Understanding of Printing Processes – especially for sportswear / sublimation / activewear.
- Fluent Spoken & Written English – for direct communication with international clients.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5–6+ years of experience in production or operations management in sportswear / activewear apparel.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Order management & production planning
- Knit fabric behavior and handling
- Printing and stitching processes
- Export-oriented production workflows
- Familiarity with logistics and shipment management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, especially spoken and written English.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and team leadership abilities.
- Ability to work 6 days a week and handle high-pressure production environments.
Compensation & Benefits
