Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end ship production and dry dock operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of shipbuilding, maintenance, and repair projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with marine safety regulations, classification society standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and HSE departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines.
- Manage workforce planning including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean practices and cost control measures.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Liaise with clients, ship owners, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Ensure proper dry dock utilization, vessel turnaround time optimization, and dock maintenance.
- Lead audits, inspections, and ensure adherence to ISO and international marine standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in shipyard operations, shipbuilding, or dry dock management.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale marine projects within the UAE or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of dry-docking procedures, vessel repair, fabrication, and marine systems.
- Familiarity with classification societies such as ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, etc.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial and operational management capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in shipyard capacity planning and optimization.
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
Pay: Up to AED27,000.00 per hour
