Operations Manager – Sign & Graphics

We're hiring an Operations Manager to run our sign and graphics production center. This is a creative, hands-on leadership role where you'll manage production workflow, lead a small team, design and produce graphics, and serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
What you'll do
- Design and produce print-ready graphics for signs, banners, vehicle wraps, wall murals, window graphics, and trade show displays
- Manage daily production scheduling: prioritize jobs, assign tasks, keep projects on deadline
- Lead a small team (front desk coordinator and installer) including scheduling, training, and performance
- Serve as the customer-facing expert: consult on signage solutions, prepare quotes, manage approvals, handle issues
- Manage vendor relationships, material ordering, and inventory
- Maintain equipment (large-format printers, vinyl plotters, laminators) and troubleshoot issues
- Oversee QC on all output: file pre-flight, color accuracy, finished product inspection
- Handle daily operations: opening/closing, billing, reporting, work-in-progress tracking
What you bring
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills: pen tool, vector prep, large-format file setup. This is a hard requirement.
- 1–2+ years supervisory or management experience
- Strong customer service instincts: you can consult with business owners and handle difficult conversations
- Organized and calm under pressure: you can run five jobs at once without dropping the ball
- Sign, print, or large-format production experience is a major plus (vinyl cutting, wide-format printing, FlexiSIGN or ONYX)
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
What we offer
- $55,000–$65,000 base salary based on experience
- Annual performance bonus: $5,000–$10,000
- Monday–Friday, no nights, no weekends
- Hands-on creative work you'll see on buildings and vehicles across the valley
- Real autonomy: from June through September you run the shop
