Operations & Project Analyst

Position Overview

Dots Energy is seeking an Operations & Project Analyst to support the development, execution, and growth of our energy infrastructure business.

This is a highly cross-functional role that will work across project development, financial analysis, operations, business processes, and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will help keep projects moving, improve internal workflows, support decision-making, and contribute wherever needed as the company grows.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new skills, taking ownership of projects, and working across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

Projects and priorities will vary, but responsibilities may include:

• Supporting solar and battery energy storage project development
• Building and maintaining financial models and project analyses
• Conducting market, policy, and industry research
• Assisting with project management and coordination
• Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Improving internal workflows and operational processes
• Supporting proposals, presentations, and customer deliverables
• Tracking project schedules, action items, and milestones
• Assisting with data collection, reporting, and business analytics
• Providing general operational support across the company

What You'll Work On

Projects may include:

• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Solar energy projects
• Community resilience initiatives
• Commercial and industrial energy systems
• Grant-funded programs
• New business initiatives
• Digital infrastructure and technology projects

No two weeks will look exactly the same.

This role provides exposure to nearly every aspect of the business and offers a unique opportunity to learn how energy projects move from concept to execution.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is helpful but not required:

• Financial modeling
• Excel or Google Sheets
• Project management
• Business operations
• Data analysis
• Research and reporting
• Energy, engineering, or infrastructure industries
