Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations across assigned production areas. This role leads hourly production teams, ensures safe and efficient operations, manages key performance indicators (KPIs), and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, data‑driven, and experienced in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Quality
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture and enforcing all safety policies and procedures
- Participate in plant safety initiatives and safety committee activities
- Ensure all parts meet internal and customer quality standards
- Address quality concerns promptly through proper escalation and corrective actions
Production & Operations
- Supervise daily operations across stamping, laser, welding, and assembly areas as assigned
- Oversee production performance for multiple machines and work cells
- Coordinate operations across shifts and departments to meet production schedules and delivery commitments
KPI & Performance Management
- Track and review daily KPIs, including:
- Safety
- Scrap
- Quality
- Performance
- Downtime
- Communicate expectations and performance results to production teams
- Identify trends and improvement opportunities using data and reporting tools
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
- Increasing production efficiency
- Reducing changeover times
- Improving machine performance
- Reducing scrap and rework
- Collaborate with tooling, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams on process improvements
Team Leadership
- Directly supervise and support hourly production employees
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to company core values
- Work closely with other supervisors and departments to support plant‑wide objectives
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years pevious experience supervising manufacturing or production operations
- Strong working knowledge of safety, quality, and production metrics
- Experience leading hourly manufacturing teams
- Ability to analyze KPI data and drive operational improvements
Preferred
- Experience in metal stamping (hot and/or cold stamping)
- Experience with laser cutting, welding, or assembly operations
- Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environments

Pay: $72,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
