Job Description: Operations Training Lead

Job Title: Operations Training Lead
Location: The Hive – Sandy, UT 84070
Reports to: Head of Account Management Operations
Department: Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Purpose
The Operations Training Lead is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing training programs that support operational excellence across ALKEME’s regional operations center, The Hive. This role ensures that new and existing employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to perform their roles effectively. The Training Lead collaborates with department leaders to assess training needs, develop curriculum, and implement scalable learning solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Program Development and Delivery
  • Design and implement onboarding and ongoing training programs for operations staff.
  • Develop training materials, manuals, and e-learning content tailored to operational workflows.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to ensure knowledge retention and engagement.
2. Needs Assessment and Curriculum Design
  • Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Customize training programs based on role-specific competencies and performance gaps.
  • Maintain a training calendar and ensure timely delivery of required learning modules.
3. Performance Support and Coaching
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees as needed.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with supervisors to reinforce learning and support employee development plans.
4. Training Operations and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Track training completion and compliance with regulatory or internal standards.
  • Report on training outcomes and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
5. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up to date.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and incorporate innovative training techniques.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement across The Hive.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or operations leadership.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions
  • This role is based at The Hive in Sandy, UT, with a standard office environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training delivery or professional development.
  • Must be able to pull or lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Extended periods of computer use and facilitation may be expected.
