Overview:

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, employee safety, environmental compliance, continuous improvements, and the achievement of financial targets. This role will lead a diverse team, including production, maintenance, quality, and administrative staff, and will be pivotal in optimizing plant performance, achieving goals, and meeting the production demands of the commercial team

Key responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations to ensure the plant meets production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to maximize output and minimize waste.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all production processes adhere to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and audit capital expenditures to ensure investments align with operational goals, budget, and long-term value creation,
  • Oversee a team of leaders in production, maintenance, quality, and administration to ensure effective coordination and teamwork across departments.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, applying LEAN principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and drive operational excellence across the plant.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime, extend asset life, and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Hire, train, and develop plant staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes safety, quality, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and create development plans to build a high-performing team focused on achieving plant goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all OSHA & other safety protocols and regulatory standards, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all employees.
  • Manage workplace incidents and accidents from initial response through investigation, workers’ compensation coordination, and return-to-work programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and supporting employee recovery
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives across plant operations without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, applying innovative solutions to plant operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Operational Excellence: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance: 3 years (Preferred)
