Operator, Bulk Haulage

About the role

We're seeking experienced Bulk Haulage Operators to join our team at the QCoal Northern Hub, located in Collinsville. Reporting to the Bulk Haulage Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient haulage of coal to ROMs and stockpile areas to support ongoing production targets.

This is a key role within our mining operations, working as part of a close-knit and safety-focused production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate B-Double Road Trains in a mine environment
• Have the ability to adhere to the site safety and health management system and QLD mining legislation
• Conduct pre-start inspections and complete all required documentation
• Haul coal and other materials between load and dump points efficiently and safely
• Follow production schedules and haulage plans as well as read stockpile maps.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and ensure compliance with site traffic management plans
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and production crews
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects promptly
• Contribute to continuous improvement and a positive safety culture

About you

• Demonstrated experience operating road trains for bulk haulage, preferably in a mining environment
• Current MC licence
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence
• Ability to work in a rostered, site-based role (day and night shifts)
• Physically fit and able to pass site medical and drug/alcohol screening
