Responsibilities <ul> <li>Getting feedback from reliever at the start of his shift.</li> <li>Giving feedback to his coming reliever at the end of his shift.</li> <li>Lifting hot billets from cooling bed and transferring on to the inspection table.</li> <li>Transferring billets after inspection to stacking / staging area.</li> <li>Transferring billets after inspection and / or stacking area for onward dispatch.</li> <li>Reporting immediately all problems of cranes to shift supervisor</li> <li>Operating 50 t crane on caster bay when required for lid removal / placement, tundish shifting, slag box changing, mould body changing etc.</li> <li>Proper housekeeping of crane cabin & periphery areas.</li> <li>Perform any other jobs as assigned by the shift supervisor</li> </ul>

Operating heavy cranes to move hot billets and materials across various production stages ensures efficient workflow and safety in steel handling. Close collaboration with team members for shift handovers, immediate problem reporting, and maintaining a clean work environment directly supports plant productivity.
