Machine Operator - Production Layout, Waterjet

Position Summary

Interpret and execute work orders with accuracy, utilizing specialized software to cut vinyl and develop templates. Perform routine and as-needed maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance. Oversee the full scope of printing and sign production, including graphic design and layout, file preparation, and operating wide-format and flatbed printers and plotters to produce high-quality finished products.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up and prepare machinery for production operations.

  • Operate equipment and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance and output quality.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Interpret and follow graphics, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.

  • Accurately read, understand, and execute work orders.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

High school diploma preferred

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge of Coral, AutoCad, and Omax Layout

Ability to read and interpret Engineering and Graphic drawings

Strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.

  • Ability to lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds as needed.

  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl as required to operate and maintain equipment.

  • Ability to use hands and arms for repetitive tasks, including handling tools and materials.

  • Visual acuity to read detailed work orders, measurements, and design specifications.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
