Ophthalmic Liaison / Medical Scribe (Bilingual)
Full-Time | Ophthalmology Practice
We are a busy, patient-focused ophthalmology office seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Ophthalmic Liaison (Medical Scribe) to join our team. This is a dynamic, patient-facing role that combines scribing, patient education, and coordination of care.
Our Liaisons play a key role not only in documentation, but also in guiding patients through their visit, including testing, treatment plans, and financial discussions.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document physician-patient encounters in real-time
- Enter medical histories, exam findings, and treatment plans into EMR
- Assist physicians during patient visits to maintain efficient flow
- Clearly explain diagnostic testing and review results with patients
- Go over treatment plans and recommendations with clarity and confidence
- Assist in diagnostic testing when needed
- Discuss pricing, payments, and financial options with patients
- Assist with scheduling follow-ups, procedures, and treatments
- Translate for Spanish-speaking patients as needed
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Prior medical scribe or healthcare experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable discussing treatments, pricing, and finances with patients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
