Ophthalmic Liaison / Medical Scribe (Bilingual)

We are a busy, patient-focused ophthalmology office seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Ophthalmic Liaison (Medical Scribe) to join our team. This is a dynamic, patient-facing role that combines scribing, patient education, and coordination of care.

Our Liaisons play a key role not only in documentation, but also in guiding patients through their visit, including testing, treatment plans, and financial discussions.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately document physician-patient encounters in real-time
• Enter medical histories, exam findings, and treatment plans into EMR
• Assist physicians during patient visits to maintain efficient flow
• Clearly explain diagnostic testing and review results with patients
• Go over treatment plans and recommendations with clarity and confidence
• Assist in diagnostic testing when needed
• Discuss pricing, payments, and financial options with patients
• Assist with scheduling follow-ups, procedures, and treatments
• Translate for Spanish-speaking patients as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
• Prior medical scribe or healthcare experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
• Strong typing and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable discussing treatments, pricing, and finances with patients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
