Ophthalmic Medical Scribe (Part-Time)
Milwaukee Avenue Eye Center is seeking a detail-oriented, professional Ophthalmic Medical Scribe to support our physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters using ModMed (EMA). This role is essential to maintaining clinic efficiency, delivering exceptional patient care, and ensuring accurate medical records.

Schedule
- Part-time
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and rotating Saturdays
- Additional availability on other weekdays as needed
Responsibilities
- Document physician-patient encounters in real time using ModMed (EMA).
- Accurately record the patient's history of present illness (HPI), examination findings, assessments, treatment plans, and diagnostic interpretations.
- Prepare and review patient charts prior to appointments.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete medical documentation.
- Maintain HIPAA and MIPS compliance and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and front office staff to promote efficient patient flow.
- Perform diagnostic testing to facilitate patient workups before and during patient encounters, as directed.
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures and treatments.
- Adapt quickly to physician preferences and changing clinic needs with minimal supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous medical or ophthalmic scribing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Flexible and willing to assist in various areas of the practice.
- Outstanding interpersonal and patient-facing skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining excellent patient care.
- Comfortable using computers and able to quickly learn new software applications.
