Ophthalmic Scribe

Ophthalmic Scribe duties include

Complete appropriate patient intake assessment, including various vision and ancillary tests,

Accurately and completely document patient care in the EMR, including scribing for doctors, and appropriate superbill charging and coding.

Answer patient questions, address concerns, follow up on questions, and/or refer patient questions to providers as appropriate.

Certifications preferred: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Scribe (OSC.) For uncertified candidates, progression to certification will be the goal. Experience with EMR preferred. Experience in ophthalmology preferred, customer service excellence, attention to detail, organization, dependability, teamwork and ability to multitask are a must!

Full-time position, Monday through Friday. No weekends. This is a permanent position.
