Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Scribe — Training Provided (Caledonia, MI)

Caledonia Vision is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe. No experience required — we provide paid on-the-job training. If you love working with people, learn quickly, and want to grow in a modern, supportive eye-care practice, we'd love to meet you.

What you'll do

• Run advanced diagnostic technology: OCT, wavefront aberrometer, corneal topographer, visual field testing, digital refraction, and digital glasses fitting
• Scribe for the doctor — maintain detailed charting, coding, patient communication, and follow-up
• Work one-on-one with patients to troubleshoot glasses and contact lens issues before the exam and document medical history
• Teach patients to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses
• Assist with minor in-office procedures (punctal plugs, amniotic membrane placement)
• Support Ortho-K patients with imaging and coaching for myopia control
• Coordinate records and imaging with primary care and specialty offices

• A clear, warm phone manner and good written communication
• Comfort learning new technology (we're an early-adopter practice)
• Reliability and attention to detail
• Prior ophthalmic, optometric, medical, or customer-service experience is a plus but not required
