Ophthalmic Technician / Scribe Part-time

Zudans Eye is seeking a Part-Time Ophthalmic Technician. Professional customer service skills, team player and a friendly and enthusiastic attitude are required.

Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting the ophthalmologist and enhancing patient care. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations within our eye care practice and contributing t our mission of delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity assessments and tonometry in preparation for the doctor exam
• Assist ophthalmologist and/or PA during examinations and procedures by preparing patients and equipment
• Perform testing on patients with ophthalmology devices (photography, visual fields, biometry, etc.)
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner (scribe experience preferred)
• Provide appropriate education to the patients

Other:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• EMR (Modernizing Medicine) experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding helpful
• Scrub Tech experience preferred but not required
• Proficient use of technology required
• Previous experience preferred
• Training on-site
• Travel between Vero and Barefoot Bay locations and possibly Okeechobee on rare occasions

Schedule:

• 8-9 hour shift
• Day shift
• 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
