- Perform preliminary eye examinations, including taking patient histories and measuring visual acuity
- Administer diagnostic tests, such as tonometry and visual field testing
- Assist optometrist during procedures and surgeries
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

- Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a related role preferred
- Familiarity with ophthalmic equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Please note that experience with the following skills is a plus: systems, Vital signs, Medical coding, Sales, Pediatrics, Front desk, Patient care, medical billing.
