Ophthalmologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmologist to join our medical team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the eyes, as well as performing surgeries and providing comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations for patients of all ages. Diagnose and treat eye diseases, injuries, and disorders, including glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disorders, and refractive errors. Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract removal, LASIK, and other corrective or restorative procedures. Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and therapeutic treatments. Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to assess patient vision and eye health. Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care. Keep detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and long-term management of chronic eye conditions. Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in continuing medical education. Qualifications & Requirements Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Completed residency or fellowship in Ophthalmology. Valid ophthalmology license (or eligibility) in Qatar. Qatar Prometric + Dataflow verification preferred (or willingness to complete). Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology. Strong surgical skills and experience with advanced ophthalmic procedures. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Preferred Skills Sub-specialization (e.g., Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology) is a plus. Experience with modern ophthalmic equipment (OCT, Fundus Camera, Visual Field Analyzer, etc.). Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
