Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Ophthalmologist with Glaucoma expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with glaucoma and related eye conditions. The role involves both clinical and surgical responsibilities, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best medical practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage glaucoma and other ophthalmic conditions
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including IOP measurement, visual field analysis, OCT, and gonioscopy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (medical, laser, and surgical)
- Perform glaucoma-related procedures and surgeries (e.g., trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage devices, laser procedures)
- Monitor disease progression and adjust treatment protocols accordingly
- Educate patients and caregivers on glaucoma management and preventive eye care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- MBBS with MS/DNB in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship or specialized training in Glaucoma
- Valid medical license/registration
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in glaucoma management
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Experience with advanced glaucoma diagnostics and imaging tools
- Exposure to minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) is a plus
- Patient-centric approach with strong decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
