Position Summary
Precision Eye & Laser is seeking a full-time team member to assist with clinical documentation and patient flow in a busy ophthalmology practice. This position works closely with physicians to ensure accurate, real-time charting and efficient clinic operations.
Candidates with prior scribing experience are encouraged to apply, though individuals with strong computer skills and a background in healthcare or clinical environments will also be considered. Training is provided.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No evenings or weekend shifts
- In-person role based in Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, NY
Primary Responsibilities
- Document patient visits in real time during physician encounters
- Accurately enter clinical information into the electronic medical record
- Support providers by ensuring complete and organized documentation
- Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff and physicians
- Adapt to specialty-specific terminology and workflows
Ideal Background
This role is well suited for individuals with experience in:
- Medical scribing or clinical documentation
- Healthcare support roles or medical office environments
- Research or clinical coordination
- Pre-med, pre-PA, or health sciences training
Qualifications
- Strong typing, computer, and documentation skills

Preferred Experience
- Previous scribe or documentation experience (1+ year preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Prior exposure to a clinical or medical setting
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $20.00 – $30.00 based on experience
