Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose a wide range of ophthalmic diseases through detailed eye examinations.
• Perform surgical procedures such as cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries.
• Prescribe and manage treatment plans, including medical and surgical interventions.
• Lead and supervise the outpatient (OPD) and inpatient eye care services.
• Mentor and train junior ophthalmologists, residents, and medical students.
• Conduct and oversee ophthalmic research and quality-improvement projects.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals in multidisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Skill & Experience

• Expert knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology for diagnosis.
• Excellent surgical skills in microsurgery, cataract, retina, and glaucoma operations.
• Strong communication skills to explain conditions and treatments to patients.
• Leadership and mentoring ability to guide junior doctors and medical trainees.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure in surgery.
• Ability to stay updated with latest ophthalmology research and clinical advancements.
