Optical & Medical Sales (Student Role)

Gainesville Vision — Independently owned optometry practice

Gainesville Vision is looking for a motivated UF or SantaFe student to join our team as a patient care associate. This is an entry point into medical sales — you'll work directly with patients in a professional clinical environment, guide them through eyewear decisions, and develop the consultative skills that define a career in healthcare or medical device sales.

You'll also get hands-on experience fitting and adjusting eyewear — practical clinical exposure most part-time roles don't come close to offering. No optical background required. We provide full training.

What you'll do

→ Consult with patients on eyewear selection and lens options

→ Fit and adjust glasses — hands-on patient care every shift

→ Learn to interpret prescriptions and explain optical technology

→ Manage scheduling and front-desk operations

→ Support billing and insurance workflows

Who we're looking for

→ Current UF or SF student — any major welcome

→ Expected graduation 2028 or 2029 preferred

→ Personable, professional, and comfortable in a patient-facing environment

→ Interest in healthcare, business, or client-facing work

→ Reliable availability — weekdays plus at least one weekend shift
