Optical Sales Associate and Laboratory Technician

About the Position

Faro Optometry is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Optical Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping patients find the best eyewear solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and optical products.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive patient experience.
• Explain lens options, pricing, promotions, and insurance benefits.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Use computer systems for scheduling, patient records, inventory, and sales transactions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and doctors.
• Translate and assist Spanish-speaking patients as needed. *Bilingual is required*
• Maintain an organized and professional optical showroom.
• Learn and follow office procedures and product knowledge.

Requirements

*Previous sales experience required ***(retail, customer service, hospitality, or any sales-related field).

• Fluent in Spanish and English with the ability to translate and communicate clearly with patients.
• Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software and technology.
• Good math skills for pricing, insurance calculations, and sales transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and products.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Available to work weekends.
• Available to complete training during weekdays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Optical or healthcare experience (preferred but not required). We will provide training.
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
