Atlee Gleaton Eye Care & Aesthetics is a modern, luxury practice blending advanced medical eye care with high-end aesthetic services. We are seeking a full-time Optician / Licensed Esthetician who is passionate about patient experience, confident in sales, and excited to work in a dual-role environment.

Position Overview

This role combines optical sales and dispensing with esthetic services and patient care coordination. The ideal candidate is personable, polished, and comfortable recommending both eyewear and aesthetic treatments.

Key Responsibilities

Optical (Primary Focus on Sales & Styling)

Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their lifestyle, prescription, and aesthetic preferences

Drive optical sales through confident product recommendations and styling expertise

Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and upgrades

Measure and fit eyewear accurately

Manage orders, adjustments, repairs, and follow-ups

Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing optical space

Aesthetic Services

Perform esthetic treatments in accordance with Maine licensure (facials, peels, etc.)

Assist with and promote advanced treatments (IPL, RF microneedling, skin rejuvenation services)

Educate patients on skincare products and treatment plans

Support aesthetic consultations and treatment flow

Maintain treatment rooms and ensure proper sanitation protocols

Sales & Patient Experience

Confidently recommend and sell both optical and aesthetic services

Build relationships with patients to encourage retention and repeat visits

Cross-promote services (e.g., introducing optical patients to aesthetics and vice versa)

Deliver a high-end, luxury patient experience from start to finish

Qualifications

Active Esthetician License in the State of Maine (Required)

Optical experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)

Strong sales ability and comfort with recommending products/services

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Team-oriented with a positive attitude
