Optometric Technician

We are looking for a fabulous technician to help us at our new office in Westerville. The office has a large two-story optical, 6 exam rooms, a dedicated technician area, and more!

What we really want is someone that is genuine, friendly, and empathetic. No experience is necessary, as we are willing to train the right person. It is important to us to positively affect the lives of our patients, community, and each other! We enjoy each other’s company and feel it is important to show our staff how much we appreciate them. We celebrate our staff at quarterly events. Whether it is dinner out, a game show room, or bowling, we love to laugh and have fun as a team.

Daily duties include:

-Update patient information and obtain and record patient’s chief complaint and complete ocular and medical history.

-Perform all necessary testing and be able to have a discussion with the patient about its purpose and any effects the patient may experience.

-Daily cleaning and stocking of each exam room.

-Triage ocular emergency phone calls, answer patient care questions, pharmacy refills, scheduling patient appointments, completing patient referrals.

-Ordering and dispensing contacts.

Requirements:

-High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.

-Excellent communication skills necessary to communicate professionally with both patients and other staff.

-Clearly demonstrates computer literacy.
