Optometric/Ophthalmic Technician

Our busy Optometry Office is seeking a Full-time Clinical Technician who is dependable, positive and has the ability to multi-task.

Skills needed but not limited to include working patients up for preliminary and pretesting procedures, transcribing, e-prescribe medications, scheduling appointments, insurance knowledge, great communication and customer service skills.

The best qualified applicant will be trainable in running medical equipment and performing clinical tasks, have knowledge in contact lenses and educating patients on the benefits of different lens types and options, problem solving, ordering & dispensing contact lenses and experience with insurance/vision plans. Very importantly, we are looking for someone who is punctual, a reliable team player and will be able to assist in all aspects of the practice when needed, including front desk administration.
