Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Optometrist cum Tutor to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive optometric services to patients while also contributing to the academic training and supervision of optometry students or interns. This dual role supports both high-quality patient care and the development of future eye-care professionals.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and refractive errors
• Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and appropriate treatments
• Provide patient education on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Tutoring / Academic Responsibilities:

• Teach and mentor optometry students, interns, or trainees
• Assist in clinical demonstrations, case discussions, and practical training
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution
• Clinical experience preferred; fresh graduates may also apply
• Basic teaching or mentoring ability preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient care and academic responsibilities
