Optometrist to Owner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Optometrist to work closely with the owner in providing comprehensive eye care services with the intent of taking over the practice and acquiring it from the owner in the next few months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply clinical expertise in a patient-centered environment, utilizing advanced EMR/EHR systems and maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality in the beautiful community of Southeast Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in optometry, patient care, medical record management, and have the desire to be a practice owner.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations, including assessments of visual acuity, ocular health, and refraction.
  • Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, utilizing knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Perform patient care procedures such as measuring vital signs and applying aseptic techniques during examinations.
  • Document findings accurately within EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and available optical products or services.
  • Collaborate with staff on sales of optical products and services, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Assist with medical coding for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and optical technology to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Optometrist with CO licensing boards.
  • Experience or familiarity with optometry practices, optical procedures, or pediatrics is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs measurement.
  • Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems and understanding of medical records management.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent patient care skills combined with strong customer service and sales abilities.
  • Ability to perform medical coding accurately for billing processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $120,419.77 - $135,279.73 per year
