Oracle Database Administrator

Employment Type: This is a full-time position.

Location: Based in the greater Portland, Maine Area

Timeframe: Immediately

Qualifications:

- Oracle/SQL Server application development

- Oracle database administration - patching, upgrade install and support

- UNIX shell scripting, sftp knowledge

- Experience with large databases, in the 5-10 TB range

- Working knowledge of supported platforms, including Linux and Windows Server

- Ability to stay current with Oracle and SQL Server development tools and related technologies

- Ability to provide Oracle and SQL Server application development training and mentoring

- Oracle and SQL Server application and database performance tuning

- Oracle and SQL Server application and database design and sizing

- Ability to work closely with the team to support business growth

- Ability to accurately track and report time spent on assignments

- Commitment to maintaining the integrity of the organization’s efforts

- Microsoft office Excel – Pivot tables

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

- At least 3 years of relevant experience, including strong knowledge of Oracle as the primary platform and Microsoft SQL Server as a secondary platform

- Ability to build packages, procedures, and functions using PL/SQL and T/SQL to support application and database development

- Experience with database management tools, utilities, and performance tuning

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into future database features

- Ability to work from the Westbrook, Maine office during training and onboarding, then follow a hybrid schedule with at least two days per week in the office

- Residence within a 120-mile commuting distance of the Westbrook, Maine office

- Microsoft office Excel – Pivot tables

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
