Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Our company participates in a variety of projects across the Middle East , including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman , working with both government institutions and private sector clients.

We are currently looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join an international project focused on modernizing data infrastructure and migrating an existing Data Warehouse environment to an Oracle Exadata platform.

The role includes long-term business trips to Muscat, Oman .

Requirements

5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator

Strong expertise in Oracle Database administration

Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata architecture

Experience working with large-scale Data Warehouse (DWH) environments

Solid knowledge of Oracle backup, recovery, and performance tuning

Experience performing database migrations between Oracle environments

Experience working with legacy systems

Basic knowledge of Linux administration

Basic understanding of networking concepts

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Responsibilities

Conduct an audit of the existing Oracle database environment and analyze database structures and dependencies

Plan and execute the migration of Oracle databases to Oracle Exadata

Manage and maintain Oracle databases in a secure on-premise infrastructure

Monitor database performance and optimize queries and storage structures

Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures

Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to ensure proper connectivity and system integration

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production environments

Experience with Oracle engineered systems

Experience with ETL tools

Experience with Pentaho

Experience with database monitoring tools

Experience with Oracle Data Guard or similar replication solutions

Experience working in high-load enterprise environments
