Position: Oracle Hyperion Planning Consultant / Expert - AppsHpf

Location: Muscat, Oman

Duration: 2 Years


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems , or a closely related discipline
  • Advanced degrees or Oracle Hyperion / EPM certifications are considered an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle Hyperion Planning solutions in complex enterprise or government environments

Strong functional expertise in:

  • Hyperion Planning
  • Oracle EPMA
  • Application design and architecture
  • Metadata management
  • Business rules
  • Workflows and approvals
  • User security aligned with planning and budgeting processes

Proven experience with Hyperion Essbase from a planning and calculation perspective, including:

  • Business rules and calculations
  • Aggregation strategies
  • Performance optimization
  • Multidimensional model design for forecasting and budgeting
  • Solid hands-on experience with FDMEE and Data Management , supporting:
  • Planning data loads
  • Validations and mappings
  • Reconciliation
  • Integration with source financial systems
  • Hands-on experience with Financial Reporting (FR) and Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service (EPRCS) to design, develop, and maintain planning, budgeting, and management reports
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business, financial, and planning requirements into effective Hyperion Planning solutions through close collaboration with finance stakeholders, end users, and technical teams


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide functional ownership and expert support for Oracle Hyperion Planning within the Customer platform during post-implementation, ensuring system stability, effective adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Lead and support budget preparation, execution, and oversight processes, including the design and maintenance of planning models for:
  • Receipts
  • Annual revenues
  • Forecasting and projections
  • Cash forecasting
  • in alignment with government financial frameworks
  • Act as the functional escalation point for complex planning and budgeting issues raised by the primary Customer support team, performing detailed analysis and resolution in collaboration with technical teams as required
  • Design, configure, and maintain Hyperion Planning applications , including:
  • Planning models
  • Business rules
  • Workflows and approvals
  • Data forms
  • User security
  • to support organizational planning requirements
  • Develop, modify, and enhance budget preparation and management reports using Hyperion Planning, Financial Reporting (FR) , and EPRCS to meet evolving business and stakeholder needs
  • Design and maintain planning data forms, validations, and user interfaces , implementing enhancements based on approved business requirements and feedback from finance and planning stakeholders
  • Support data integration and validation activities in coordination with FDMEE and Data Management teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across planning cycles
  • Provide end-user support, functional troubleshooting, and guidance to finance and planning users, ensuring correct system usage and adherence to approved budgeting processes
  • Deliver user training, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions on Hyperion Planning functionality, planning models, and budgeting workflows to build internal capability and reduce dependency on external support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance planning efficiency, reporting quality, and forecasting accuracy within the Hyperion Planning environment
