Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our dynamic dental team. This specialized role involves performing complex surgical procedures related to the mouth, jaw, face, and neck, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert care and precise surgical techniques. Duties

  • Perform a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including dental extractions, implant placements, cyst removals, trauma management, and corrective jaw surgeries.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, clinical examinations, and appropriate medical imaging to formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
  • Collaborate with general dentists, pediatric dentists, prosthodontists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage preoperative preparations and postoperative follow-up care to ensure optimal healing and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
  • Use dental fabrication techniques when necessary for prosthetic or reconstructive purposes.
  • Stay current with advancements in oral surgery techniques, dental technology such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix practice management software, and relevant medical terminology.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, procedural expectations, oral health maintenance, and infection prevention strategies.
  • Uphold strict infection control standards and adhere to all safety protocols within the dental clinic setting.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon within a busy dental or medical clinic environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general dentistry procedures alongside specialized oral surgery skills such as root canal therapy, dental extractions (including impacted teeth), endodontics, and implantology.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to the head, neck, face, and jaw regions.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology used in clinical documentation and patient communication.
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry is desirable but not mandatory; however, comfort working with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing dental imaging tools for diagnostic purposes is essential.
  • Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to enhance workflow during surgical procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $600,000.00 - $900,000.00 per year
