About the Opportunity
A highly respected, modern Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a motivated and compassionate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join its team. This opportunity stems from the retirement of the current owner, who is no longer active in the clinic. The incoming surgeon will step into a thriving, high-end practice generating approximately $1.8M in collections, within a strong community and referral network.
This position is ideal for surgeons seeking a stable associate role with complete clinical autonomy—or those interested in a near-term path to ownership in a well-established practice. The seller is motivated and eager to support a smooth transition.
Schedule
- Full-time preferred
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Clinical Scope & Patient Flow
- Average 10–15 patients/day
- Morning schedule includes IV sedation, third molars, and implants
- Afternoons typically involve implant evaluations and local anesthesia cases
- Procedures include:
- IV sedation
- Third molars (including guided workflow)
- Implants & dentoalveolar surgery
- Socket preservation, sinus lifts, bone grafting
- Pathology (biopsies, evaluations)
- No TMJ or oncology—these cases are referred out
- No hospital travel required
Candidate Requirements
- Virginia dental license (or eligibility)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Valid Anesthesia Permit, DEA, BLS/ACLS
- Open to recent graduates, residents, or experienced surgeons
- Seeking individuals with:

- Confidence without ego; receptive to staff collaboration
Compensation & Benefits
- 35–37% of production/collections
- No sign-on or relocation bonuses; however, relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate
- Employment structure flexible—contractor or W2 (TBD)
- CE support available (with a 2-year contract)
- Credentialing/licensing support available if needed
Clinical Support & Technology
- Support team includes:
- Two surgical assistants per room + one floating assistant
- Implant coordinator for guided workflows, planning, and kit management
- Administrative team of four
- Technologies include:
- CBCT
- Piezosurgery
- Implant planning software
- iTero scanner
- Guided implant workflows
- Software: WinOMS
- IV sedation performed in-office; access to Sentara RMC Williamsburg for general anesthesia cases
- Post-op calls and referrals handled by trained staff; after-hours calls monitored by the team and managed by the surgeon over the phone
- No emergency call
