Job Summary

We are a high-end, multi-specialty dental practice located on Park Avenue in Manhattan, seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Oral Surgeon to join our elite team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced surgical care across a wide range of oral and maxillofacial procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes, safety, and comfort. You will work closely with our in-house General Dentists, Orthodontist, and Periodontist in a modern, technology-driven environment that values collaboration, precision, and patient-centered excellence.

Compensation includes a competitive base with profit-sharing opportunities tied to production and overall practice performance. Specific terms will be discussed in detail during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of oral surgical procedures including extractions, bone grafting, implant placement, sinus lifts, and pathology management.
  • Provide IV sedation and anesthesia following the highest safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized surgical treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with in-house specialists and referring dentists to deliver seamless, multidisciplinary care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations.
  • Manage preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring comfort, safety, and superior outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in digital platforms (Dentrix, Dexis, CBCT).
  • Apply aseptic and infection control techniques in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
  • Contribute to clinical efficiency, workflow optimization, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with advancements in oral surgery, implantology, and digital dentistry through continuous professional development.
  • Mentor dental assistants and collaborate in maintaining a high-performance surgical team.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school (required).
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program (required).
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Active New York State dental license and DEA registration (required).
  • IV sedation certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of surgical experience in a private practice or hospital setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with dental and surgical software (Dentrix, Dexis, CBCT).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a patient-centered and ethical approach to care.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dental anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology related to oral surgery.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per month
