Job Summary
Looking for an Oral Surgeon to work on contract - Split production/collection.
Requirement: Sedation
Mostly wisdom teeth extractions and full mouth.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures, including dental extractions, impacted tooth removal, and implant placements
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and clinical examinations, to develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques such as X-rays and 3D scans to diagnose conditions accurately
- Maintain precise medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene in the clinic
- Collaborate with general dentists, prosthodontists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to oral surgery
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
- Strong background in pediatric dentistry and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures
- Expertise in dental fabrication processes including prosthodontics and root canal therapy when applicable
- Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach that eases patient anxiety and builds trust
- Familiarity with infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures related to extractions, endodontics, and other surgical interventions
