ORAL SURGEON

The Oral Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing, planning, and performing surgical procedures related to the teeth, jaws, mouth, and facial structures. The role requires expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, patient care, and collaboration with dental and medical teams to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality treatment. The candidate must have excellent surgical skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to manage pre- and post-operative patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform oral and maxillofacial surgeries, including extractions, dental implants, corrective jaw surgeries, and treatment of facial trauma.
• Diagnose oral and facial conditions through clinical examination, imaging, and patient history.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and discuss surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care with patients.
• Collaborate with general dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary care.
• Prescribe medications, anesthesia, and sedation as appropriate for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients’ recovery and manage complications or emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including surgical notes and treatment plans.
• Stay updated on current surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.

Requirements:

• Degree in Dentistry (DDS/DMD) with specialization in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Valid license to practice as an Oral Surgeon in Qatar (from Ministry of Public Health / QCHP).
• Minimum 2 years of surgical experience in clinical settings.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to counsel patients in Arabic and/or English.
• Excellent clinical judgment, surgical expertise, and patient management skills.
