Duties

• Perform a wide range of oral surgical procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and implant placements with precision and care
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and clinical examinations, ensuring thorough understanding of each patient's needs
• Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques and anatomical knowledge to guide surgical interventions safely and effectively
• Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Document all procedures meticulously in medical records using dental terminology and medical terminology appropriate for each case
• Collaborate with general dentists, prosthodontists, endodontists, and pediatric dentists to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans
• Employ four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort during procedures
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including HIPAA and infection control guidelines while managing medical documentation and records

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice dentistry with specialization or extensive experience in oral surgery or related fields
• Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings, demonstrating proficiency in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
• Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques
• Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, implant placements, and other complex surgical procedures efficiently
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric patients and adults alike
• Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe surgical environments
• Experience with dental fabrication processes is a plus but not required
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as endodontics and prosthodontics
