Surgical Assistant
We are a full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice specializing in implant placement, extractions, bone grafting, TMJ treatments, and cosmetic reconstruction. We also offer IV sedation and General Anesthesia.
We are looking for an experienced Surgical Assistant assist with both day-to-day surgical logistics and implant coordination, ensuring seamless patient care and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures (suctioning, instrument handling, implant procedures, sedation assistance, botox administration etc.).
- Setup and Breakdown of all operatory equipment as well as prepare tables and trays for the surgeon with proper instruments and supplies.
- Assist with and oversee implant coordination, including ordering implants, guided case management, and collaborating with labs.
- Take and Send X-rays and CBCT. Take intraoral scans (IOS) for surgical guide planning and implant case preparation.
- Conduct patient assessments and review medical histories.
- Proficient in educating patients in all practice procedures and exams.
- Assist with treatment planning and pre/post-operative patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record systems.
- Manage inventory and supply ordering.
- Routine maintenance of sterilization area and stocking rooms.
- Assist in surgery, consultations, follow up, etc
- Communicate Treatment Plan Options to Admin Team
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of Dental Assisting experience (required).
- Oral Surgery (OS) experience preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with OMS Vision or other dental practice management software is a plus.
- Understanding of CAD software for intraoral scans and surgical guide planning is desirable but not required.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Compensation Based on Experience, Skill-Set, and Certifications (preferred but not required).

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
