Oral Surgery Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated oral surgery assistant to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will possess natural leadership abilities and have outstanding clinical skills. This candidate should be able to effectively assist in managing the day to day operations of our fast paced practice. He or she will play an active role in creating and ensuring an excellent patient experience from start to finish. Qualifications:

Must have a warm and outgoing personality

Capability to work both independently and with a team

Ability to hold yourself accountable for performance results

Strong communication skills

Knowledge of dental software is preferred but not required

Strong attention to detail

Self-motivation and drive to exceed personal expectations

A work ethic fit to lead a team

Duties:

Assists Oral Surgeon in surgery

Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting seating and draping patient

Review medical history with patient

Recover patient after IV sedation

Prepare treatment room for patient procedures and protocols

Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area

Positioning instruments for surgeon access, suctioning, passing instruments

Taking radiographs

Taking impressions, pouring up and trimming of models
