Responsibilities:
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule appointments, maintain patient charts, and handle filing.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patient charts, record treatment plans, and update dental records.
- Imaging Expertise: Operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment, develop radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
- Sterilization and Setup: Sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment following infection control protocols. Assist the surgeon with operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for surgery, monitor vital signs during procedures, and provide postoperative information.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock of surgical supplies and medication, replenish as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure effective maintenance of instruments and equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Radiography Certification: Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment.
- Experience: At least six months of dental assisting experience (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of surgical equipment, instruments, and materials.
- Surgical Techniques: Understanding of chairside responsibilities, surgical techniques, and health and safety protocols.
- Documentation: Familiarity with dental records, charts, and documentation.
- Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Patient-Centric Approach: Ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances.
- Professionalism: Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude.
