Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Job description

Duties:

- Assist the surgeon during dental procedures
- Prepare operatory rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Monitor the patient's well-being during the procedure
- Perform administrative tasks as necessary

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
- CPR certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with medical records and HIPAA regulations
- Attention to detail
- Experience working with patients (preferred)
- Well organized and reliable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
